Flow Counselling offers a full range of professional assessment and therapy for children, adolescents and adults in Melbourne. Our aim is to provide clients with a range of strategies that aim to reduce stress, anxiety and to improve emotional well-being in the following areas:
  • managing depression and anxiety, panic attacks and social anxiety
  • self-esteem and personal coaching to provide self-confidence
  • relationship and marriage counselling
  • cognitive and psychological assessment
  • parenting advice including pre and post-natal depression
  • personal and career transitions
  • stress management
  • loss and trauma
  • addiction (alcohol, gaming)
  • anger management
The approach of Flow Counselling is to "take the time to experience and reflect" either on a one-to-one session or through group work which involves narrative therapy (storytelling) and developing useful strategies for dealing with issues. The aim of the flow process is to diminish stress, anxiety and depression into a productive and positive future life.

Clients are encouraged to develop their own life stories and positive experiences, and reflect on them. The implementation of narrative therapy is also particularly useful for migrant individuals and families as it allows for deconstruction of life stories and enables culturally relevant therapy and interventions.
Languages
Khai is fluent in the following languages and dialects; Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Hainanese
The service also caters for other asian and cultural backgrounds. Should an interpreter be required, our staff will be able to assist with pre-booking. Note that at least 7 days notice is required and costs of the interpreter are at the expense of the client if not covered under the assistance of the referring agency.
